Super convenient spot to get groceries and food! Tip: I recommend getting groceries first, since if you spend over a certain amount you can get a same-day voucher for the restaurant My friend and I stopped by as we needed to pick up some Indian groceries and also wanted food. I found Sri Venkateswara and it seemed convenient to make one stop instead of two. We stopped by on Labor Day around 6:30 pm and it was pretty packed inside. For the restaurant, there's both indoor and outdoor seating. We opted to sit outdoors as it was a nice day out. The restaurant focuses on South Indian dishes such as dosas, uttapam, idli, etc., though they offer Indo Chinese and chaat as well. We ordered one pav bhaji ($8.99) and one masala dosa ($9.49) to share. The dosa came out very quickly, but the pav bhaji took forever. Maybe because most people don't get it here. The dosa was super solid, and I was absolutely obsessed with the peanut chutney that it came with. I've never had peanut chutney served with dosa at any other South India place before, but it really elevated the taste of the dosa imo. Sambar was good but a bit spicy for me personally. The pav bhaji was disappointing, which in hindsight isn't surprising given that this is a South Indian place. Would not get it again here. Note: they also offer a dosa happy hour on weekdays 2-5 where you can get most dosas for only $6.99. Seems like such a steal if you live nearby!

This review is only about their restaurant - Fantastic spot for Indian meals and tiffin items all while getting your groceries for the week. We've dined here numerous times and always opt for SVG thali and have never been disappointed. They also have complimentary tea which is fantastic! It won't be a stretch to say I come here just for their tea lol! It's mostly a self-serve place with options for takeout. Around 5-6 tables in total and a clean bathroom too. P.S. If you want to know their daily menu, they put it up around noon on their Instagram.

The food is stellar but with some important caveats. - The restaurant is a tiffin (light meals) spot located inside the grocery store. It is primarily self serve. They offer some takeout options a chaats (snacks) and light dinner menu to order as well. - Their hours can be sporadic. The kitchen is closed on Mondays and only serves chaats after 3pm. - The seating area is a few tables and it takes them sometime to get around to cleaning the tables. You'll have to wipe it down yourself sometimes. - The staff is nice but often in a rush. Noting all this the food is still amazing. I would not go here expecting a nice elegant sit down experience but the food is top notch. For similar food with a fancier ambiance try A2B Indian veg restaurant.

One of the cleaner Indian grocery stores in the area. Cery organized and prices are labeled. The attached restaurant is great for little snacks and chai. The cashiers and workers are polite and helpful.

We had a huge dosa craving on a Sunday afternoon so we decided to come and check this spot out. It was busy! The tables were full and the line was long (all good signs). We got in line to place our order and about 20 minutes later we were able to. We ended up going with the paneer dosa and veggie dosa. As we waited for our food, we did some Indian grocery shopping. As a tip, if you spend $50 in groceries, you get $5 off at the restaurant. The restaurant calls out your name when your food is ready. They have outdoor seating and use a mic if they can't find you inside. The paneer dosa was ready after about 30 minutes, we picked that up and they said the veggie dosa is just coming. It didn't end up coming till 15 minutes later. I wish we had known the food is served as it is made versus all together as we would have started eating right away rather than the paneer dosa getting soggy. Overall, the food was delicious! Great spice, good portions and the veggie dosa was crisp. I can see why this place is so popular. We will definitely be back but during less peak times!

We were told this is one of the best places to get Tamil style food. We entered the small seating area and ordered at the counter. They do have Thalis and people seem to be pouring in. We were happy that the Indian spices aroma was not sticking on our clothes when we left. We tried idli vada ghee roast dosa and chili uttapam. Including main food all the chutney/ sambhar accomplishments were tasty. Food was served quickly and was piping hot. Advantage to f citing in lunch hours! I am definitely going back to try more items on the menu.

This place is legit! I was in the area and stopped off to pick up some South Indian food. The combo and the dosas were excellent. The store/restaurant itself is super clean. They have some limited outdoor seating as well. Service is almost always what makes a 5-star experience and the service here was great. The lady who took my order on the phone was cheerful and helpful. They also happened to have free masala chai for their customers and me being the klutz that I am ended up spilling it while I got some. They were very courteous and sanguine about it which I appreciated because I felt SO guilty.
